But this is more than a place for discussing the issues of the day. It is also a free forum that helps you to buy and sell all sorts of items, and even to publish rentals and personal services. One way that we help is by letting sellers easily upload photos of the items that they are advertising. There are a few rules about what sorts of businesses can sell items here (click here to see) but any tasteful personal item or personal service is welcome.

There are four discussion forums, one for local issues and one for national/global issues and ee have just added one for Kansas Sports and one for Lawrence Music. There is a forum for polls, where you can vote on the issues of the day, with the occasional just-for-fun poll thrown in. The first poll in the forum is one about having two Wal-Mart stores in Lawrence. We expect that will be interesting, and for the question to generate some discussion.

There are rules about discussion and general site behavior (click here to see them) but they are mainly common-sense rules about being nice.
