Zen Zero is almost the perfect restaurant for the main street in a university town. Their prices are low, their food is exotic, their portions are large, their staff is friendly, and their quality is very good for the price. We would give this one 3 1/2 out of five stars. |

Zen Zero will never replace the swankier specialty Asian restaurants, but they don't have to. The food is outstanding for the price, which explains why it is always busy. Come before 5:30 most nights to be guaranteed instant seating. They have a full bar, which does a pretty good business on weekend nights. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they tend to work at Zen Zero for a long time, which is always a good sign. It's also great for people-watching, either inside or in the small patio area at the sidewalk. |

| It might take you a long time to work your way through the menu, but the repeated visits are worth it. You will find at least a couple of favorites. Ours are the Singapore Noodles and the Drunken Noodles, both medium hot. Yum! All dishes can be prepared in mild, medium, or hot. At last count, they has an even dozen vegetarian / Vegan menu items. This is a place that we find ourselves returning to again and again. |
