We know that a lot of people in Lawrence are very smart and that you can write. We also know that this Website would be a lot better if you would share your words with us. We could use your words in SO many ways, too! We can use them as Second Opinions (or even original full reviews) on restaurants and shops in our fine town. We could use some good bloggers. We could use some good poetry and short fiction, too, for the Arts section. We also have weekly features about the community in the home page.

We also know (for better or for worse) that we can't afford to pay you. At least not yet, and maybe never. This site is not exactly a gold mine. ;o) But Lawrence is a passion of ours, so we do it happily. This little place of ours deserves the best that we can get, and that is exactly what we want to make this Website.

We are trying for quality. That is why we started this site and why we are very protective of it. We will not publish anything from completely anonymous people, period. We need to know who the folks are that are putting words together for us. We will not publish diatribes or thoughtless rants of any kind, no matter who writes it. We will not publish anything that we find objectionable, or that we think the average Lawrencian (whoever that may be) might find objectionable. No nastiness, no baiting, no trolling, noting at all like that.

If you write regularly for us, we will give you an email address that people can use to contact you. That is a part of keeping our writers honest, of course, and it will identify you as one of our regular writers. How you handle that user relationship is absolutely up to you. If you have an idea for something that you would like to write for the site, just drop us a note from any of the Contact Us buttons on the site, or if you are one of our regular writers, just email your editor.
